Fort Myers, Florida

Born and raised in Fort Myers, Florida, Ambika (pictured with her grandmother) is a first generation Sri Lankan-American. Growing up in a traditional Sri Lankan household, she came to think of her grandparents, who lived with the family, as a second set of guardians. Ambika realized at a young age the importance of caring for the elderly based on her experience helping her grandparents with their disabilities and ailments. This understanding, along with her passion for sports and interest in medical science, lead her to pursue a career in physical therapy.
